AVG invests in technology: a new drone for accurate stock measurement
AVG bought a drone and the software to go with it from MRR Drones, and now surveys the stock across all its sites itself every quarter. A real step towards stock management they can rely on.

AVG Recycling has bought a drone and the software to go with it from MRR Drones, a young and promising start-up from Eindhoven. Their platform means we can now fly our own aerial surveys across our sites. A real step towards stock management we can rely on, and a deliberate choice to work with innovative partners close to home.
Stock management needs smarter answers
Counting stock physically across our sites is a demanding job. The yards are large and the range of materials is wide, which makes it hard to arrive at reliable figures by eye.
At the same time, an accurate stock record matters. It is the basis for valuing our stock correctly and it tells us what our monthly deliveries actually look like.
A flying start in Goch
To make that process sharper and more accurate, we have been flying the drone quarterly across our sites since the second half of 2025. The first flight and survey took place on 17 July at AVG Baustoffe Goch.
The drone flew a pre-set route entirely on its own and mapped the yard accurately from the air. MRR Drones then analysed the data, so we can rely on an independent, dependable measurement. That first survey confirmed that this approach will let us carry out stock surveys faster and more easily from here on.

With the software from MRR Drones, AVG takes another step towards working from data. Technology helps us make our processes sharper, more efficient and more dependable, without losing sight of how the work actually gets done.
That is how we build an organisation fit for the future, where innovation genuinely adds something.
